Racing from the Marine Industry pontoon at the Westhaven Marina, Auckland, New Zealand.

The WIYC races the ELECTRON radio controlled model yachts, designed by famous New Zealand yacht designer Des Townson.

The WIYC races every Monday evening during the summer, and every second Sunday during the winter, subject to special events and public holidays. See the Calendar for more details

Minutes from the Auckland CBD

At the Westhaven Marina

The WIYC sails from the Marine Industry Association Pontoon, in the Westhaven Marina.

Enter the Westhaven marina from the City, and you will see us sailing in the inner area of the Marina

Just east of Watchman Island

Click the "_" twice on the naviagtion bar, bottom of, the top left corner, and you will see a DOT in the harbour to the west /left of the Harbour Bridge . . . That is Watchman Island.
